Railfan Tips
Here are some of my interesting Railfan tips:
1. Monitor train frequency on particular lines to get an average amount of trains that go through in one day any after an amount of say 5-10 days preferably not a series of consecutive days to figure out an average time of day for a particular train or trains for Example: In Stuarts Draft Virginia Trains15T, and 16T go by in the early morning; train 460 goes by about 09:30 each morning; train 461 goes by some time in the evening and trains 37Q, and 38Q go by between 18:30 and 22:30 when I monitor train movements for monitoring. I use a Train log for train sightings and a Radio log to monitor train radio activity.
2. Use an Photo log for when you take a Photograph by writing the date time exposure number and other various information.
